Weekly Update: April 12th

Chag Pesach Sameach everyone:

The appointed time is almost here when Jewish people around the world will be celebrating the ancient story of Passover this weekend. We will be meeting on Sunday to celebrate this Feast, the first of Gods Appointed Times. Once again, this Feast will be overshadowed by the ongoing war in Israel and the Middle East. One of the important prayers during this Holiday will be Let My People Go. All the remaining hostages who are still being held captive and we pray that Adonai will some how have them set free during this season of our freedom. We can’t imagine how much the hostages are suffering. They have been held captive for 18 months. Let’s fervently pray for their release.

As a Messianic community we will also be gathering together to be reminded of Yeshua our Passover lamb who set us free from the bondage of sin and death. We have so much to be thankful for. Messiah our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed for us. Here the words of our Master:

(John 15:12-15) — “This is my commandment: Love each other in the same way I have loved you. There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you slaves because a master doesn’t confide in his slaves. Now you are my friends, since I have told you everything the Father told me.

In Yeshua’s service

Beth Shechinah has a new ministry called “Give and Take“.

If you have items to give or items you need –

This ministry is based on Proverbs 19:17 –
“One who is kind to the poor lends to Adonai,
and Adonai will reward him for his good deed.“

Also, 2 Corinthians 8:14 –
“At present your abundance can help those in need; so that when you are in need, their abundance can help you – so that there may be equality.”

The need for this ministry first became apparent when many Ukrainian refugees began to attend the congregation.

The ministry will work this way:

Stephanie and Michael Braun will now be heading up our Give and Take Ministry. They have storage space available and also have the ability to deliver items as needed.

If you have good quality items available to donate or if you have a particular need for an item – please contact the Brauns. The email address to contact is:
